A Heartfelt Studio Maternity Session

Miami Maternity Photographer | Studio Maternity Session

There is something incredibly special about photographing families over the years—watching them grow, change, and welcome new chapters. This maternity session was especially close to my heart because it was for a dear friend and long-term client I’ve been photographing since she was pregnant with her first baby, sweet big sister Emi.

From the very beginning, this family has trusted me to document some of their most meaningful milestones, and getting to capture Emi loving on her mama’s belly as she eagerly awaits baby Ceci was pure magic. These are the moments that remind me why I do what I do.

A Studio Maternity Session Full of Love & Connection

This maternity session was all about connection—between mama and bump, between siblings, and within a family preparing to welcome a new baby. Emi absolutely stole the show, wrapping her arms around her mama’s belly, whispering to baby Ceci, and radiating excitement in the most genuine way. Watching her step into her role as big sister was emotional and beautiful to witness.

I always encourage families to let toddlers be toddlers during sessions, and this was the perfect example of how those unscripted moments create the most meaningful images.

Shooting at One of My Favorite Miami Studios

We photographed this session at one of my favorite studios (aside from our own, of course 😉), part of The Lumi Collection. What makes this space so special is that it’s actually the owner’s real home, which gives it a warm, lived-in feel you just can’t replicate in a traditional studio.

Because it’s a real home, we had so many unique spots to shoot in—from cozy corners filled with natural light to beautifully styled rooms that feel intimate and organic. This variety allows maternity sessions to feel effortless, relaxed, and truly timeless.

A Full-Circle Moment

Photographing this mama again—now preparing to welcome baby Ceci—felt like such a full-circle moment. From her pregnancy with Emi to this new chapter, it’s been an honor to document their story and preserve these memories for their growing family.

Baby Ceci is already so loved, and if this session is any indication, she’s entering a world filled with warmth, excitement, and so much heart! Oh! And lots of BACHATA!!
