Ashley's home maternity session


Some sessions feel like pure joy from start to finish, and Ashley’s at-home maternity session was exactly that.

I’ve had the honor of photographing Ashley before. She did a femme session with me before her wedding, and ever since, I’ve been counting down the days until I could get her back in front of my lens. This time, as a glowing mama-to-be to her sweet baby girl, Chloe. And wow... did she shine.

We planned this session to take place in Ashley and Pedro’s super cute home, and it could not have been more perfect. There’s something incredibly special about at-home maternity sessions, you’re surrounded by your own love, energy, and memories. It adds this layer of warmth and intimacy that no studio can replicate.

We started the shoot with a couple of classic, soft looks- simple and stunning. The light was beautiful, Ashley was glowing (seriously, she’s one of those people who was made to be photographed), and the connection between her and Pedro was so natural and sweet. These moments were quiet, timeless, and full of love.

But just when you think you’ve seen it all... we cranked things up in the funnest way possible and of course we used our new film lens. Think:

Yes, you read that right.

Ashley had a vision, and we went all in. It was colorful, playful, nostalgic, and totally her. These photos feel like summer and girlhood and celebration all wrapped up into one perfect memory. And best of all? Chloe’s going to grow up seeing just how fun and loved she already was, even before she was born.

This session was a dream- and such a beautiful reminder that maternity photography doesn’t have to be one-size-fits-all. Whether you want something soft and serene or bold and bright (or both!), your session should reflect you.
