Family session at A.D Barnes park
One of my favorite places to photograph families in Miami during the fall and winter months is AD Barnes Park. This little hidden gem has the most beautiful natural backdrops—lush greenery, winding trails, and open spaces that are perfect for letting kids run free and parents relax into the moment.
During this family session, we focused on what I love most: connection, laughter, and those in-between moments that make your family unique. I always encourage families to come ready to hug, laugh, and simply enjoy the day together. The magic happens when you forget the camera is there and just lean into being yourselves.
Another reason AD Barnes Park (and really any park in Miami) is such a favorite spot in the cooler months? The weather! Miami summers can be hot and humid, and full of mosquitoes and no-see-ums (iykyk) but when fall and winter roll around, the air turns crisp and refreshing. What does this mean exactly? One thing: No sweaty dads in photos! The cooler weather also makes it easier for kids to enjoy the session without getting tired too quickly.
Every session here feels like a little adventure. We wander through the park, finding the prettiest patches of light and the coziest corners to stop and create memories.
