Welcoming Baby Lyra

There’s something incredibly special about Fresh 48 sessions, those first quiet hours after birth, filled with awe, softness, and brand new love. But this session was extra meaningful.

Almost two years ago, I met this beautiful family in the very same hospital room for baby Isla’s Fresh 48 session. Now, they were back — same room, same love, same glowing parents — welcoming their second daughter, baby Lyra.

Big Sister Moments

Watching Isla step into her new role as big sister was one of the sweetest things I’ve witnessed. From tiny, curious glances at Lyra to soft, proud smiles, it was clear she was already in love. It’s incredible how quickly toddlers grow, and how seamlessly they seem to understand their place in the new family dynamic. The cutest part was Isla saying she wanted to "keep it" to the new baby. My heart was melted!!

Love That Instantly Doubled

One of the most touching parts of this session was seeing these parents hold both their girls — hearts visibly stretched with even more love. What once was all for Isla now flowed effortlessly to Lyra too. There’s something truly beautiful about watching a family grow, not just in size, but in connection.
